Aideen Hennessy

Aideen has extensive experience in all areas of commercial real estate law and commercial leasing, including acquisitions and disposals, property asset management, project management of a large team on high volume portfolio sales, planning law and compulsory purchase orders. She also has particular expertise in site acquisition and disposal for development and leasing acting for both landlords and tenants.

Prior to founding HOS Partners LLP, Aideen was a partner in the Real Estate department of Byrne Wallace a leading Irish Commercial Law firm where she worked for 12 years.

Aideen also lectures on the Law Society’s Continuing Professional Development and Diploma programme (2013 to date).

Aideen’s recent experience includes:

  • Lead advisor on the leasing and asset management of the largest shopping centre in Ireland.
  • Advising one of Ireland’s largest discount grocery retailers on a range of legal issues, including the acquisition of sites for development of retail stores across the country, negotiating leases and associated agreements for stores in either existing schemes of development or stores that were pre-let prior to the construction of schemes of development and advising on day to day property and project asset management issues.
  • Advising a major international multi-brand retailer on the roll out of it stores at multiple retail locations.
  • Advising one of Ireland’s largest leading asset managers on, and project managing, the large volume sales of a portfolio of circa 100 residential and commercial properties.
  • Advising on the acquisition of a retail portfolio on Henry Street, Dublin 1 for a major Irish institutional investor.
  • Acting on behalf of a high profile residential developer in the acquisition and onward sale of a number of sites as part of a site assembly in Clontarf, Dublin 3 for the development of a luxury residential development.
  • Advising a substantial investor to a private health services group which provides residential care, community outreach and day care services to adults and children with complex support requirements.
  • Acting on behalf of circa 100 investors in the acquisition of a block of retail units in a premier shopping and business park in South County Dublin.
  • Acting on behalf of a residential developer in the scheme set up and sale of a mixed residential and retail development in North County Dublin.
