Louise has specialised in construction law since qualifying as a solicitor and was previously head of the Construction and Procurement team in ByrneWallace, a leading Irish commercial law firm.

Louise has developed a particular speciality in non-contentious construction providing advice that is legally sound and focused on practical and implementable solutions.

Louise advises on all stages of the life cycle of a project; from tendering and procurement strategies to drafting and negotiating contracts and providing dispute resolution advice, when necessary, including conciliation, expert determination, mediation, adjudication and arbitration.

Recent experience:

• Advised a US multi-national client on the fit-out of its Irish HQ on Baggot Street, Dublin.
• Advised contractor in connection with the fit-out of Facebook and Google’s Dublin HQs.
• Advised well known international retailer in connection with the development of its new state of the art HQ in Tallaght.
• Advised a number of Developers, Funders and Receivers in connection with the construction and funding of new and partly completed residential schemes in Dublin and County Kildare. Advice includes drafting all necessary construction contracts, appointments and warranties and advice on compliance with statutory obligations including the Building Regulations and Health and Safety.
• Advised contractor in connection with new Student Accommodation, Dublin 1.
• Advised a large food company in relation to the construction of its new manufacturing facility in County Cork.
• Advised main contractor in connection with its contracts for a number of large Data Centres including advice on NEC3 Form of Contract.
• Louise advised on all the construction agreements in connection with the development of Dundrum Town Centre.
